Words that help

Below are two poems that friends sent to us after Jenelle and Amy died.  We are trying to help others through their grief, just like our friends tried to help us through our grief.

Everybody Grieves Differently

Grieving is as natural as

Crying when you are hurt,

Sleeping when you are tired,

Eating when you are hungry

Or sneezing when your nose itches

Grief is the deepest wound

A cut finger

Is numb before it bleeds

It bleeds before it hurts

It hurts before it begins to heal,

It forms a scab and itches until

Finally, the scab is gone and

A small scar is left where

There was once a wound.

Grief is the deepest wound

You have ever had.
